Lord Howe Island, a beautiful island off the coast of Australia. With a population of only 382 and only 400 tourists allowed at any time, this island is a tranquil paradise. Due to the limit on tourists and QANTAS being the only carrier that operates routes to the island; fares are generally quite pricey.
However with QANTAS’s latest red deal you can pick up some cheap flights to this island wonderland. QANTAS are advertising prices from $319 economy one way; there is only economy as these routes are served by the Bombadier DASH8. There is only a short runway on this island and few visitors so these turboprops are the way to go.
This is a great deal as fares are usually over $1,000 return if not more. Sale fare dates are for selected flights between 3rd June 2019 and 8th September 2019. The sale ends at midnight 17th June 2019 so go to the QANTAS site now to look for some great fares.
Sale fares only appear to be on flights leaving from Brisbane and Sydney and returning to those airports. So if you are in those cities rejoice and get a nice fare to Lord Howe Island.
Another option if you are unable to secure sale fares is to look for QANTAS reward seat availability and pay with points. This will work out much cheaper than a standard fare if you have the points. Just be aware that availability on this route is generally low so you will need to keep an eye on the availability or set up some alerts.
Unfortunately I would be able to take advantage of this deal as I am out of the country; I would really love to visit Lord Howe Island. Hopefully some people can take advantage of this great deal to a beautiful location!
