Velocity Frequent Flyer has teamed up with Laithwaite’s to open a wine store in time for the festive season. You can earn Velocity points on all purchases of win. Additionally as part of the opening you can earn some big bonuses depending how much you spend in the store.
This appears to be separate from the Virgin Wines which also allows you to earn velocity points for purchasing wine.
Velocity Wine Store opening deal
So the opening deals for the store are:
- 5,000 velocity points if you spend $180 or more in one transaction, and
- 10,000 velocity points if you spend $360 or more in one transaction.
Both are excluding shipping in the spend threshold. Additionally you will earn 2 points for every dollar you spend in the win store. These opening deals are available until the 19 December 2019, so get in soon to take advantage of these deals.
Is the Velocity Wine Store a good deal?
The opening deals seem like a good deal to boost your Velocity points balance much like the bonus points you can get through Qantas wines. These deals can often net you points at similar rates to buying directly from the airline, with the bonus of getting some wine as well.
